The Regular Season in Superleague 1 just ended. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked TSU (23-7) in Magnitogorsk on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fourteenth ranked Metallurg MGN (10-20) 69-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of TSU. It was a great evening for center Konstantin Kulikov (213-1995, college: UIW) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Belarusian forward Maxim Liutych (203-1997) helped adding 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side forward Artem Vostrikov (201-1996) responded with 7 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Metallurg MGN maintains fourteenth place with 10-20 record. TSU at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. They share it with CSKA-2.

Serbian swingman Mihajlo Bogdanovic (198-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for Dinamo in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Khimki have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 22-8 record behind leader TSU. Dinamo at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost.
An interesting game took place in Tambov where higher ranked Barnaul (14-16) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Tambov (12-18) 80-76 on Sunday. Filipp Stoyko fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Alexey Nesterov produced 16 points for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Tambov. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Univ.Surgut. Loser Barnaul keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Irkut.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 31: Kupol-Rodniki lost to Chelbasket on the opponent’s court 52-70. CSKA-2 managed to outperform Novosybirsk in a home game 91-79. BARS-RGEU recorded a loss to Dinamo on the road 74-66. Irkut defeated Univ.Surgut on its own court 69-65. Bottom-ranked Lok.Kuban was beaten by Zenit-2 in Saint Petersburg 89-85.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 26 points and 8 assists by Artem Chevarenkov of Lok.Kuban.


Dinamo V. – Khimki 67-78

The game in Vladivostok was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Khimki (22-8) played at the court of 6th ranked Dinamo (17-13). Khimki defeated Dinamo 78-67.
