Center Maksim Voytov (207-C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Dynamo Ufa, receiving a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, seven rebounds) to his team’s victory, helping them to crush Metallurg (#7, 15-21) with 20-point margin 74-54. It allowed Dynamo Ufa to consolidate first place in the Russian Higher League. Dynamo Ufa has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 31-3. In the team’s last game Voytov had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Maksim Voytov has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (9th best: 6.8rpg) and averages impressive 59.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Nikolay Mukha (213-C-1999) of Neftekhimik Tobolsk. Mukha had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Neftekhimik to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Ural Yekaterinb. (#10, 3-31) 107-59. Neftekhimik’s 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team’s 22-14 record is not bad at all. Mukha is a newcomer at Neftekhimik and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Alexandr Milyutin (198-PF-1997) of league’s second-best Rusichi Kursk. Milyutin scored 24 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Rusichi, leading his team to a 98-87 win against the lower-ranked Desna (#5, 16-20). Rusichi needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 25 victories and 11 lost games. Milyutin has a great season in Russia. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 9.4rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.2bpg and a FGP of 65.1%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
