The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 6 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most exciting game of round 28 in the ProA took place in Giessen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Hakro Merlins (19-9) to fourth ranked 46ers (19-9) 90-88 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hakro Merlins. Giessen made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American guard Kevin McClain (190-1996, college: Belmont) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists and American guard Kyle Castlin (193-1996, college: Xavier) who added 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. 46ers’ coach Branislav Ignjatovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Vinnie Shahid (180-1998, college: NDSU) responded with 29 points. Giessen moved-up to third place, which they share with Crailsheim. ProA top team – Science City Jena (26-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifteenth ranked Koblenz (7-20) 92-80. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Science City Jena have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-2 record. Koblenz lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 20 games lost. Jena will play against Giessen (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Koblenz will play against Muenster (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
