It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. The best player for the winners was American swingman Ibrahim Watson-Boye (196-1998, college: Dayton) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import point guard Ronaldo Segu (183-1999, college: Buffalo) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Bamberg’s coach Anton Gavel used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Nick Weiler-Babb (196-1995, college: Iowa St.) who recorded 9 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Despite that victory Bamberg went down to fifteenth position due to points difference. Defending champion Bayern keeps the second place with six games lost. Bamberg are looking forward to face higher ranked Heidelberg (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. American forward Jayden Gardner (201-2000, college: Virginia, agency: MSG) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds for Vechta. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ratiopharm Ulm have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-5 record. Vechta at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Ulm will play against Frankfurt (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Vechta will play against Hamburg (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Wuerzburg was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Chemnitz (13-9) played at the court of 8th ranked s Oliver Baskets (11-11). Chemnitz managed to secure a 7-point victory 90-83 on Sunday. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of DeAndre Lansdowne who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Davion Mintz with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Chemnitz moved-up to fourth place. Loser s Oliver Baskets keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Chemnitz will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Wuerzburg will play against ALBA (#9) in Berlin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Vechta – Ulm 73-84
