Amyntas are looking forward to face APAS (#11) in Nafplion in the next round and are hoping to win another game. OFI will play at home against Anagenisi (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Xanthi. First ranked L.Xanthis faced 3rd placed KAOH. Host L.Xanthis (16-4) defeated guests from Pefkohori (13-6) 86-82. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for L.Xanthis. They maintain first place with 16-4 record, which they share with Sofadon. Newly promoted KAOH keeps the third position with six games lost. L.Xanthis will play against Niki Volou (#5) in NIki Volou in the next round. KAOH will play at home against KAOD and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Leader Sofadon delivered the sixteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Apollon Patras (9-10) 82-74. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Sofadon. They maintain first place with 16-4 record, which they share with L.Xanthis. Loser Apollon Patras keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Sofadon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Apollon will play against Nea Kifissia (#10) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the Elite League just one year after relegation.
Other games of round 21 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
APAS was defeated by Dafni in Athens 68-54. Esperos beat Milonas at home 83-71. Panelefsiniakos lost to Anagenisi on the opponent’s court 66-73. Pagrati unfortunately lost to P.Faliro in a home game 63-66. Aigaleo rolled over Argyroupolis on the road 99-63. Aiolos Agyia was crushed by Ethnikos L. on its own court 52-82. Promitheas was beaten by Panellinios in Athens 82-72. Nea Kifissia won against Holargos at home 85-79. Ionios unfortunately lost to Ilysiakos on the opponent’s court 85-89. KAOD recorded a loss to Gefyra in a home game 66-70. DEKA was defeated by Filippos Veroias on the road 68-60. Machites beat Komotini GAS on its own court 74-64. Niki Volou won against Aretsou in NIki Volou 79-69.
Dafni – APAS 68-54
There was no surprise in Athens where 10th ranked APAS (7-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Dafni (14-7) 68-54 on Saturday. Dafni moved-up to third place, which they share with Aigaleo. Loser APAS dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Dafni’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Milonas.

Esperos K. – Milonas 83-71
No shocking result in a game in Kallithea where second ranked Esperos (15-6) defeated 9th ranked Milonas (8-13) 83-71 on Saturday. The victory was the third consecutive win for Esperos.
