Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Burgos: Burgos SP (#1) and Burgos T. (#7). Despite it looked like an easy game for Burgos SP, those rules do not exist in derby games. It’s more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Guest Burgos T. challenged much higher ranked Burgos SP giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by four points 77-73. 27 personal fouls committed by Burgos T. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Armenian-American center Luke Fischer (211-1994, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Icelandic guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson (195-1996, college: Davidson) who added 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was British guard Morayo Soluade (195-1995) with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Burgos SP maintains first position with 22-2 record. Burgos T. at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Burgos SP are looking forward to face Cartagena (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Burgos T. will play against Fuenlabrada and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Moron managed to get a second victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Moron outleveled ninth-ranked Ourense in Moron de la Frontera 89-59. It’s especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 30-point difference suggests that Moron is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The winners were led by American swingman Andre Norris (203-1994, college: Dubuque) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and Vinicius da Silva supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by Portuguese guard Diogo Brito (198-1997, college: Utah St.) did not help to save the game for Ourense. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Moron maintains eighteenth position with 2-22 record. Ourense at the other side keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Moron will play against higher ranked Valladolid (#15) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ourense will play against Obradoiro (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game took place in Alicante where higher ranked Oviedo (8-16) was upset on the court of seventeenth ranked Alicante (7-17) 87-79 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was Kevin Larsen who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Francisco Amarante who recorded 12 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alicante moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Valladolid and Castello. Oviedo lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Gipuzkoa. Alicante will meet higher ranked Zamora (#10) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Oviedo will play against Castello and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 24: Estudiantes won against Castello on the opponent’s court 89-85. Obradoiro managed to outperform Menorca in a home game 83-67. Valladolid was rolled over Gipuzkoa on the road 90-69. Fuenlabrada crushed Cantabria on its own court 94-70. Cartagena was beaten by Palencia in a road game 88-71. Real Betis destroyed Zamora at home 92-72.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 15 points by Mathias MMadi of Moron.
