Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) added to their roster 33-year old American guard Austin Hollins (195cm-84kg-1991, college: Minnesota). Hollins played last season at AEK Betsson in Greek GBL league. He managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 10 GBL games he recorded 4.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.2apg. Hollins also played 6 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 4.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.0apg. The other team he played shortly was Zalgiris in Lithuanian LKL. In three games he had 6.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.3apg. He also played 8 games in Euroleague where he got 3.9ppg and 1.0rpg.
Hollins has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
He is quite experienced player. Hollins has played also professionally in Finland (Karhubasket), France (Denain Voltaire), Germany (46ers and Rasta Vechta), Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Russia (Zenit), Serbia (Crvena zvezda) and NBA Summer League (Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-German Bundesliga Defensive Player of the Year back in 2019.
He graduated from University of Minnesota in 2014 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player.
