KK Jahorina Pale (Division I) agreed terms with 29-year old Serbian ex-international point guard Ilija Djokovic (189cm-80kg-1996). Djokovic started the season at Mornar in Montenegrin Erste Liga. In 19 games he had 5.7ppg, 1.8rpg and 3.4apg.
He was also a member of Serbian international program for some years. Djokovic played for Serbian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2019 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2016.
He represented Serbia at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) eight years ago. Djokovic’s team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 8 games: 15.9ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.9apg, 1.8spg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 34.8%, FT: 67.9%.
Djokovic is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Croatia (Split), Hungary (Honved), Romania (Timisoara) and Serbia (KK Borac Cacak, Jagodina and KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd). His team was regular season runner-up in Serbian League Group A in 2016 and 2018.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League 2 Guard of the Year back in 2018.
