Newly promoted KK Zlatorog Lasko (Liga Nova KBM) landed 27-year old 183cm point guard Nejc Baric. It is actually his comeback to Lasko as he has played here before. Baric played most recently at Helios Suns (Liga Nova KBM). In 11 games he averaged 7.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 5.7apg and 1.0spg last season. He helped them to make it to both league and Supercup final after they ended regular season as second best team. Baric also played 7 games in ABA League where he had 8.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.7apg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Sencur Gorenjska Kranj. In 11 Liga Nova KBM games he recorded 6.2ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.9apg in that year. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. Baric also played 1 game in ABA League, but he did not score anything.
He represented Slovenia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Crete (Greece) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 5.6ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.6apg, FGP: 30.8%, 3PT: 29.4%, FT: 66.7%.
Baric has played previously professionally also in Croatia (Split) and Slovenia (Krka and Primorska).
Among many awards he received Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup European Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup Guard of the Year award back in 2018.
