Ramat Hash. at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with M.Rishon. M.Rehovot is looking forward to face higher ranked H.Eilat (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ramat Hash. will play against the league’s leader M.Raanana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
National League top team – M.Raanana (19-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked E.Yavne (11-10) 96-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of E.Yavne. It was a quality performance for American Tyler Wideman (203-1995, college: Butler) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Yogev Ohayon accounted for 12 points and 9 assists. American guard Brandon Tabb (193-1995, college: BCU) came up with 23 points and 5 assists for E.Yavne in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. M.Raanana have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-2 record. Newly promoted E.Yavne keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with E.Ashkelon. M.Raanana will play against Ramat Hash. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. M.Rishon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ramat Hash. Loser Otef Darom still closes the standings. There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 23: E.Shomron destroyed H.Kfar Qasem on the opponent’s court 102-74. E.Ashkelon unfortunately lost to H.Eilat in a home game 76-91. H.Safed Galil managed to beat H.Kfar Saba on the road 85-81. I.Nahariya crushed H.Izrael on its own court 98-72.

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked H.Kfar Qasem (9-12) was crushed at home by thirteenth ranked E.Shomron (6-15) 102-74 on Tuesday. E.Shomron dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to H.Kfar Qasem‘s 40. E.Shomron looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American Isaiah Crawley (201-1998, college: Georgia South) who scored 22 points.
