Hapoel Beer Sheva had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Hapoel Beer Sheva looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Newly promoted E.Netanya keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. There was no surprise when 9th ranked Afula (6-11) was crushed at home by second ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (14-3) 99-74 on Saturday. H.Tel-Aviv outrebounded H.Afula 44-33 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. H.Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Marcus Foster (191-1995, college: Creighton) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Guy Palatin (192-2000) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. American Jalen Lecque (194-2000, college: NC State) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard JCovan Brown (190-1990, college: Texas) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. H.Tel-Aviv maintains second place with 14-3 record behind leader M.Tel-Aviv. Loser Afula dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Kiryat Ata and H.Galil Elion.
