Kalamunda Eastern Suns (NBL One) signed 31-year old Belgian-Australian guard Marshall Nelson (184cm-1994, college: Wayland Baptist) for upcoming 2025 season. Nelson played last season at Sant Antimo in Italian Serie B Nazionale, but left the team in Dec.’24. In 16 games he had very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.8apg and 1.1spg.
He has played on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Nelson has played previously professionally in Iceland (Grindavik), Sweden (Jamtland) and Australia (Canberra Basketball, Hawks, Taipans, Tigers and Flames). He played in the final of Australian NBL1 West in 2024.
Nelson graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2017 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. He played also for Community College of Rhode Island for one year.
