Hapoel Altshuler Shaham Beer Sheva (Winner League) agreed terms with 27-year old American (has also Cape Verdean passport) forward Marcus Santos-Silva (202cm-111kg-1997, college: Texas Tech). He started the season at Saint Quentin in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 15 games he had just 2.3ppg and 3.0rpg. He also played 9 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded only 2.7ppg and 3.9rpg. The last season summer he played at Red Scare (Dayton Alumni) in U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
Santos-Silva has played previously professionally in The Basketball Tournament (Ram Nation).
Among many awards his team made it to the French ProB Leaders Cup Final Four in 2024. He was voted to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention back in 2022.
Santos-Silva graduated from Texas Tech University in 2022 and it is his third season as a professional player. He played also for Virginia Commonwealth University for 3 years.
