An interesting game for Geneve (13-2) which played road game in Neuchatel against 4th placed Neuchatel (7-8). Second ranked Geneve managed to get a 13-point victory 66-53. Geneve forced 21 Neuchatel turnovers. American forward Isaiah Williams (201-1992, college: Iona) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import guard JaQualyn Gilbreath (188-1998, college: TWU) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Matt Dentlinger (203-1998, college: S.Dakota St.) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds for Neuchatel. Geneve maintains second place with 13-2 record having just one point less than leader Fribourg. Neuchatel at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Massagno. Geneve are looking forward to face Starwings (#7) in Basel in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Neuchatel will play on the road against Pully in Lausanne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American point guard Eric Nottage (187-1994, college: FIU) stepped up and scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Ross Williams chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. American guard Kareem Thompson (196-2001, college: ORU) responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-1 record. Monthey-Chablais at the other side keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Leo OBoyle nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Jalen Brooks came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds for Nyon in the defeat. Nyon’s coach Maleye N’Doye rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pully maintains third place with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Fribourg. Loser Nyon dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Pully will meet at home Neuchatel (#4) in the next round. Nyon will have a break next round.
In the last game of round 17 Massagno beat Lugano on the road 85-70.
Lugano – Massagno 70-85
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Massagno (7-8) beat on the road bottom-ranked Lugano (2-13) 85-70 on Saturday. The former international point guard Yuri Solca (189-2000) nailed 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Elijah Morgan (185-2001, college: Citadel) accounted for 17 points. Massagno’s coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Antonio Ballard (194-1988, college: Miami, OH) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import point guard Javontae Hopkins (183-2001, college: PVAMU) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively for Lugano in the defeat.
