Ahmet Cantitiz

Shooting guard Ahmet Cantitiz (193-SG-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for Cagdas Bodrum Spor, receiving a Hoops Agents TBL Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, eight rebounds and four assists) to his team’s victory, helping them to beat Bordo (#8, 11-10) 82-77. Bodrum is placed at 6th position in Turkish TBL. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Cagdas BS will need more victories to improve their 12-9 record. In the team’s last game Cantitiz had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bodrum, through which he has constantly improved. Ahmet Cantitiz averages this season 14.3ppg, 6.2rpg and 4.0apg.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Bahamas Zane Knowles (208-C-1992, agency: BIG) of Cedi Osman Basketbol Spor Kulubu Istanbul. Knowles had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Cedi Osman cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over Anka Spor (#18, 0-21). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Cedi Osman dropped in the standings to 15th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 9-12 record. Knowles is a newcomer at Cedi Osman, but is already one of team’s top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Sedat Karagulle (190-PG-1999) of Haremspor Istanbul (#10). Karagulle got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He was a key player of Haremspor, leading his team to a 86-83 win against the higher-ranked Ankaragucu (#4, 13-7). The chances of Haremspor ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Karagulle could help Haremspor to bring them higher in the standings. Karagulle has a very solid season. In 19 games in Turkey he scored 12.3ppg.

8. Erbey Paltaci (203-PF-2004) of Anka Spor – 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Ben Shungu (188-PG-1997) of Fenerbahce 2 – 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Cihat Dalgali (205-C-2001) of Haremspor – 19 points and 10 rebounds

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
