However their fans expected much easier game. Ramat Hash. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Akaemji Williams (175-1996, college: LSSU) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Hen Halfon (196-1996) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Isaiah Crawley (201-1998, college: Georgia South) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for E.Shomron. E.Shomron’s coach Dror Cohen tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Ramat Hash. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader M.Raanana. E.Shomron lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. Ramat Hash. are looking forward to face H.Kfar Qasem (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. An interesting game for M.Rehovot (10-4) which hosted in Rehovot one of their biggest challengers E.Yavne (8-6). Third ranked M.Rehovot had an easy win 86-70. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-1991, college: Akron) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and Ori Hai who added 23 points during the contest. At the losing side naturalized Polish guard Gal Gilinski (195-1995, agency: Avi Zilberman) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. M.Rehovot maintains third position with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader M.Raanana. Newly promoted E.Yavne keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. M.Rehovot will play against league’s leader M.Raanana on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. E.Yavne will play against H.Eilat and hopes to get back on the winning track.

They share the position with 4 other teams. M.Raanana will meet at home M.Rehovot (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. E.Ashkelon will play against M.Rishon in Rishon Le-Zion and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 16 were not that significant. H.Kfar Saba beat H.Kfar Qasem on the road 99-88. H.Eilat won against Otef Darom on its own court 94-76. M.Rishon managed to outperform I.Nahariya in Rishon Le-Zion 71-66. H.Izrael managed to beat H.Safed Galil at home 81-71.
The most impressive performance of 16th round was 22 points and 6 rebounds by Jonathan Augustin-Fairell of H.Safed Galil.


H.Kfar Qasem – H.Kfar Saba 88-99

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked H.Kfar Saba and 10th ranked H.Kfar Qasem had identical 6-7 record. But H.Kfar Qasem was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kfar Saba 99-88 on Tuesday night.
