Segunda FEB newcomer Coto Cordoba CB landed 23-year old Slovakian 213cm forward Jacob O’Connell. He just graduated from Merrimack (NCAA). In 28 games he averaged 4.8ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.0bpg last season. He helped them to make it to the NEC Tournament final.
O’Connell started his college career at Princeton University (NCAA) where he played four seasons. His high school career he had spent at St. Joseph Prep in Philadelphia, PA, which he joined from Eastern Regional High.
He represented Slovakia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Division B in Oradea (Romania) six years ago. During this event he scored an average of 6.3 points per game and had 6 rebounds per game.
So his pro career will start in Spain.
