The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of FMP BG (8-1) in Beograd on Monday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Real (7-3) 75-74. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of FMP BG. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Real made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Power forward Dimitrije Kovacevic (204-2006) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and Tadija Stevanovic (-2006) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side power forward Ognjen Gujic (203-2007) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real moved-up to second place. FMP BG at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Real are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Konstantin Nis (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. FMP BG’s supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Partizan BG.

Swingman Nikola Karalic (202-2008) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Pavle Backo supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by guard Djordje Sekularac (197-2007) did not help to save the game for Partizan BG. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mega have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 5-3 record. Partizan BG at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Borac and BKK Radnicki. Mega will play against Spartak (#10) in Subotica in the next round. Partizan BG’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena FMP BG.

Pavle Rajevac fired 30 points for the winners. Bogdan Djordjevic produced 16 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sloboda moved-up to eighth place. Loser Konstantin Nis still closes the standings with ten games lost. Sloboda will meet higher ranked Cacak 94 (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Konstantin Nis will play against the league’s second-placed Real (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10: Borac won against Spartak on the opponent’s court 99-87. BKK Radnicki managed to outperform Vojvodina in a home game 84-68. Cacak 94 recorded a loss to Sloga on the road 83-81.

Rather expected game in Subotica where 9th ranked Spartak (3-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Borac (6-3) 99-87 on Monday. Borac had a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Djordje Bugarcic (187-2006) fired 36 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Bozidar Curcic (206-2006) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Vanja Mladjenovic (189-2006) produced 14 points and 6 assists and guard Pavle Steljic (189-2007) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Four Spartak players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Borac have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Partizan BG and BKK Radnicki. Loser Spartak keeps the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Vojvodina. Swingman Marko Tofoski (194-2006) fired 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Aleksandar Bihler (-2006) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four BKK Radnicki players scored in double figures. Swingman Ivan Cimbaljevic (195-2007) produced 29 points and 4 steals and center Aleksandar Zecevic (207-2006) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side.
