Crailsheim moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Muenster. Tuebingen at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. ProA top team – Science City Jena (13-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat seventeenth ranked Falcons (3-12) in Nuernberg 74-66. It was a quality performance for Rasheed Moore who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Julius Wolf came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds for Nuernberg in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Jena maintains first place with 13-2 record. Nuernberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Duesseldorf. Jena will meet at home Dresden (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nuernberg will play against Giessen (#8) and hope to secure a win.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: Kirchheim beat Vechta 2 on the road 94-90. Hagen won against Muenster on its own court 91-83. Bayreuth unfortunately lost to Bremerhaven in a road game 69-71. Trier managed to beat Duesseldorf at home 99-92. Artland was defeated by Koblenz on the opponent’s court 79-64. Dresden smashed Karlsruhe PS in a home game 101-71.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 23 points by Matthew Ragsdale of Dresden.
Vechta 2 – Kirchheim 90-94
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Kirchheim Knights (10-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Vechta-2 (1-14) 94-90 on Saturday. Kirchheim dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vechta-2‘s 28 and made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward James Graham (201-2000, college: AUM) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Braden Norris (183-1999, college: Loyola, IL) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. Danish guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2002) came up with 24 points and American swingman Luke House (193, college: Drexel, agency: Worldwide SM) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vechta 2 in the defeat.
