American Shannon Bogues (190-SG-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Alliance Sport Alsace Gries-Souffel and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents ProB Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 27-year old shooting guard had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Gries-Souffel in his team’s victory, helping them to outclass Chartres (#20, 3-15) with 38-point margin 108-70. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Gries-Souffel is placed at 11th position in French ProB. Gries-Souffel is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-9 record. In the team’s last game Bogues had a remarkable 76.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gries-Souffel‘s top player in his first season with the team. Stephen F. Austin State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bogues is in league’s top in points (8th best: 16.6ppg) and averages solid 59.2% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young American point guard Robert Turner III (190-PG-1993) of FOS Provence Basket. Turner III impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Provence Basket lost that game 73-79 to the higher-ranked Caen (#6, 11-7). Despite lost game Fos-sur-Mer moved up to 15th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 6-12 record. Turner III is a newcomer at Fos-sur-Mer and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#2). He also recorded 3.1 assists per game.
The third best performed player last round was Antiguan Kevin Samuel (213-C-1997) of Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket (#18). Samuel scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Chalons-Reims, leading his team to a 89-78 win against slightly lower-ranked Nantes (#19, 4-14). The chances of Chalons-Reims not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 12 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Samuel could try to bring Chalons-Reims’ a little bit higher in the standings. Samuel has a very solid season. In 2 games in France he scored 12.5ppg.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
