A very close game took place in San Sebastian between Cartagena and Gipuzkoa. Fourteenth ranked Cartagena (5-8) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Gipuzkoa (5-8). Cartagena managed to escape with a 1-point win 85-84 in the fight for the eleventh place. Dylan Van Eyck stepped up and scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. At the losing side Aitor Zubizarreta responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cartagena moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Gipuzkoa and Cantabria. Gipuzkoa lost their third game in a row. Cartagena will meet at home higher ranked Castello (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gipuzkoa will play against Cantabria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There was an upset when higher ranked Burgos T. (7-6) was defeated on the road by seventeenth ranked Alicante (2-11) 104-89 on Saturday.
