The round 14 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Leader Mykonou delivered the twelfth win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Panerythraikos (7-7) 107-67 in New Eritrea. Mykonou dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Panerythraikos‘ 26. They outrebounded Panerythraikos 48-24 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mykonou looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Panerythraikos‘ players. The best player for the winners was center Petros Melissaratos (205-1993) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Andreas Kanonidis (200-1991) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international point guard Ioannis Athinaiou (194-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 19 points and 7 assists for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mykonou (12-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Panerythraikos lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Ermis S.. Mykonou are looking forward to face Psychikou (#3) in Athens in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Panerythraikos will play on the road against Eleftheroupoli (#13) in Kavalas and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Kesariani, where higher ranked Proteas (8-6) lost to fifteenth ranked Near East (4-10) in a road game 64-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Proteas V.. Nikolaos Delgas (-2003) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 10 assists. Georgios Kalianiotis contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Forward Panagiotis Kois (200-1998) replied with 13 points and 5 assists for Proteas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Near East moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with HANTH. Proteas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Koroivos and Doxa Lefkadas. Near East will play against higher ranked Doxa Lefkadas (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Proteas will play against Iraklis and will have a slim chance for a victory.

Rest of the games of round 14 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

Koroivos managed to outperform Eleftheroupoli in a home game 102-87. Doxa Lefkadas recorded a loss to Psychikou on the road 78-73. Ikaroi Trikala was crushed by Megaridas on its own court 71-96.

Ermis S. – Papagou 73-68

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Ermis S. and 10th ranked Papagou had identical 6-7 record. This time Ermis S. used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Athens 73-68. Ermis S. forced 19 Papagou turnovers. Papagou was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch.
