KK Splosna plovba Portoroz (2SKL) added to their roster 24-year old Slovenian center Nemanja Scekic (207cm-108kg-2000). It is actually his comeback to Portoroz as he has played here before. Scekic already started the season at Coto Cordoba CB in Spanish Segunda FEB. In 8 games he recorded just 2.1ppg and 1.5rpg.
He represented Slovenia at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U16 Division B in Sofia (Bulgaria) eight years ago. Scekic’s team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 2.6ppg, 2.4rpg.
Scekic is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bosnia (Leotar), Germany (Kangaroos), Italy (Gardonese), Portugal (Sport Lisboa Benfica Sub23) and Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana, Ilirija, Zlatorog, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana mladi and Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana U19 team).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Italian Serie C Gold Group Lombardia Est Regular Season in 2020. Scekic was voted to Eurobasket.com Slovenian 2SKL All-Newcomers Team back in 2021.
