The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Burgos SP as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Burgos SP smashed 10th ranked Castello at home 95-68. Burgos SP forced 19 Castello turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian swingman Gonzalo Corbalan (193-2002, college: LCU) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Daniel Diez (203-1993) who added 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Jalen Tate (198-1998, college: Arkansas) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
