The most important game in the last round took place in Yavne between third ranked H.Kfar Saba (6-4) and seventh ranked E.Yavne (6-4) on Tuesday night. H.Kfar Saba was crushed by E.Yavne on the road 80-117. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of H.Kfar Saba. E.Yavne shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American power forward Eli Abaev (203-1998, college: FGCU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Brandon Tabb (193-1995, college: BCU) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals for the winners. American-Sierra Leonean guard Richaud Pack (192-1992, college: Maryland) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for H.Kfar Saba. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. E.Yavne moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated H.Kfar Saba. E.Yavne is looking forward to face H.Kfar Qasem (#9) on the road in the next round. H.Kfar Saba will play against the league’s leader M.Raanana (#1) and is hoping to win this game.
National League top team – M.Raanana (9-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked M.Rishon (2-5) 95-90. American forward Brandon Bowman (206-1984, college: Georgetown) had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Joaquin Shuchman chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) responded with 36 points (!!!) and 9 assists. M.Raanana have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. M.Rishon at the other side dropped to the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with H.Safed Galil. M.Raanana will play against H.Kfar Saba (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. M.Rishon will play against the league’s second-placed Ramat Hash. (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Otef Darom is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to ninth ranked H.Kfar Qasem (4-5) 89-82 on Tuesday evening. Paul Delaney notched 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort. Even 26 points and 6 rebounds by Vince Cole did not help to save the game for Otef Darom. H.Kfar Qasem moved-up to eighth place, which they share with H.Eilat. Loser Otef Darom still closes the standings with nine games lost. H.Kfar Qasem will meet at home higher ranked E.Yavne (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Otef Darom will play against I.Nahariya (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Other games in round 10 were not that significant. H.Eilat was smashed by Ramat Hash. on the road 101-82. H.Safed Galil was destroyed by I.Nahariya on its own court 58-78. E.Ashkelon unfortunately lost to E.Shomron in a road game 96-101. H.Izrael recorded a loss to M.Rehovot at home 67-82. Ramat Hash. defeated H.Safed Galil on the opponent’s court 79-74.
The most impressive performance of 10th round was 23 points and 19 rebounds by Jonathan Augustin-Fairell of H.Safed Galil.

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Ramat Hash. (8-2) crushed 8th ranked Hapoel Eilat (4-5) in Ramat Hasharon 101-82 on Tuesday. Ramat Hash. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Eilat‘s 24. Ramat Hash. forced 27 H.Eilat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Point guard Akaemji Williams (175-1996, college: LSSU) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and forward Ira Lee (203-1998, college: Arizona) supported him with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Even 25 points and 6 rebounds by guard Dirk Williams (195-1994, college: UAB) did not help to save the game for H.Eilat.
