An interesting game for Tindastoll (8-2) which hosted in Sauoarkrokur one of their biggest challengers Njardvik (6-4). Second ranked Tindastoll had an easy win 94-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Njardvik. The game without a history. Tindastoll led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Njardvik outrebounded Tindastoll 50-32 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 rebounds. Greek Giannis Agravanis (198-1998, agency: Diamond Sports) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. French-Central African forward Evans Ganapamo (201-1994, college: PVAMU) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds for Njardvik. Tindastoll maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Stjarnan. Njardvik at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Grindavik and Thor Thorl. Tindastoll are looking forward to face Valur (#11) in Reykjavik in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Njardvik will play at home against the league’s leader Stjarnan (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

At the losing side American guard Ty-Shon Alexander (193-1998, college: Creighton) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Stjarnan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Keflavik at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with KR. Stjarnan will play against Njardvik (#4) on the road in the next round. Keflavik will play against Thor Thorl and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Egilsstadir between IR and Hottur. Tenth ranked IR (4-6) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Hottur (3-7). IR managed to escape with a 3-point win 82-79 on Thursday evening. Jacob Falko notched 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 11 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists by Nemanja Knezevic did not help to save the game for Hottur. IR have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Alftanes. Hottur lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Valur. IR will meet at home bottom-ranked Haukar (#12) in the next round. Hottur will play against Alftanes in Reykjavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Other games in round 10 were not that significant. KR beat Haukar on the road 97-88. Thor Thorl won against Alftanes on its own court 89-78. Valur unfortunately lost to Grindavik in a road game 90-97.
The most impressive performance of 10th round was 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists by Devon Thomas of Grindavik.

Keflavik was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Stjarnan dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Keflavik‘s 30. They outrebounded Keflavik 47-32 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Stjarnan players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Keflavik‘s players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Haukar trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 23-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 88-97 at the end of the game. KR looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international guard Thorir Thorbjarnarson (198-1998, college: Nebraska) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the effort and Latvian Linards Jaunzems (200-1995) supported him with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. KR’s coach Jakob Sigurdarson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
