They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Gipuzkoa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Jordan King (183-2001, college: Richmond) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 assists. Danish center Kevin Larsen (208-1993, college: GWU) contributed with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Manex Ansorregui (194-2002) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds for Gipuzkoa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. It was a great evening for the former international forward Daniel Diez (203-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. Jon Axel Gudmundsson helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. Naturalized Dominican guard Michael Cuevas (188-1994) responded with 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Burgos SP have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record, which they share with Estudiantes and Fuenlabrada. Valladolid at the other side keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. They share it with Oviedo. Burgos SP will play against Castello (#11) in Castellon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. It was an exceptional evening for Jayson Granger who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 assists. Lionel Kouadio came up with 25 points and 8 rebounds for Moron in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Estudiantes have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Burgos SP and Fuenlabrada. Newly promoted Moron still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Estudiantes will meet at home Alicante (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Moron will play against Cartagena and hopes to get finally their first victory.
