Newly promoted Semt77 Yalova Belediye Spor (BSL) inked 28-year old American 183cm point guard David Nichols (college: FSU). Nichols already started the season at Alba in Hungarian A Division, but left the team in Dec.’24,. In 8 games he averaged impressive 18.4ppg, 2.8rpg, 9.1apg and 1.3spg. He also played 8 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had very remarkable stats: 18.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 7.3apg and 1.5spg. The last season he played at Sopron KC (A Division). In 33 games he recorded high stats: 18.5ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.7apg (top 4) and 1.5spg. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian A Division Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
Nichols is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Belgium (Belfius Mons Hainaut), Cyprus (Omonia), Finland (Kobrat), France (Aix Maurienne) and Slovenia (Rogaska). he was also selected toChicago Catholic League Player of the Year back in 2014 and 2015.
Nichols played in the final of ACC Tournament in 2019.
He graduated from Florida State University in 2019 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball. Nichols played also for University at Albany for 3 years.
