Power forward Thomas Hanquiez (203-2001) chipped in 22 points. Swingman Moustapha Toure (202-2002) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Amir Smith (200-1997, college: Hampton) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Metz’s coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Orchies moved-up to second place, which they share with 6 other teams. Newly promoted Metz keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Orchies will meet at home Loon-Plage (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Metz will play against the league’s leader Le Havre and hope to secure a win.
