Justin McKoy

23-year old American forward Justin McKoy (203-F-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Rigas Zelli and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league’s bottom-ranked team LU (#15, 0-11) with 17-point margin 83-66. Rigas Z. maintains the 2nd position in LAT-EST BL . They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Rigas Z. will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. McKoy turned to be Rigas Z.‘s top player in his first season with the team. University of Hawaii graduate has very impressive stats this year. McKoy is in league’s top in points (5th best: 18.1ppg) and averages solid 60.0% FGP and 46.7% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Zac Watson (201-F) of BK Ventspils. He is American forward in his first season at Ventspils. In the last game Watson recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Ventspils lost that game 75-82 to the higher-ranked Keila C. (#8, 5-3). Ventspils is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 4-7 record. Watson is a newcomer at Ventspils and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Ihor Serheyev (210-C-2001) of Keila Coolbet (#8). Serheyev scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Keila C., leading his team to a 82-75 win against the lower-ranked Ventspils (#11, 4-7). Keila C. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Serheyev has a great season in LAT-EST BL. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (5th best).
