PS Karlsruhe Lions (ProA) added to their roster 26-year old Canadian international forward Abu Kigab (200cm-100kg-1998, college: Boise State). Kigab played this summer at Once A Bronco (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In two TBT games just recently he recorded 8.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.5apg and 1.0spg. Kigab ended 23-24 season at MLP Academics Heidelberg in German BBL where in 12 games he averaged 8.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.0apg. But the most of that year he spent at Spisski Rytieri in Slovakian Tipos SBL. In 18 games he had very impressive stats: 19.6ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian Nike SBL Honorable Mention. He also played 5 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he got remarkable 23.4ppg, 6.8rpg and 2.2apg.
Two years ago he was drafted by Fort Wayne Mad Ants (G-League) in first round (13th overall).
Kigab graduated from Boise State in 2022 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
He has been also a member of Canadian international program for some years. Kigab has regularly played for Canadian senior team since 2022 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2016.
He represented Canada at the World Cup U19 in Cairo (Egypt) seven years ago. Kigab’s team won Gold and his stats at that event were 7 games: Score-5(14.7ppg), 10.6rpg, 2.3apg, FGP: 42.9%, 3PT: 36.7%, FT: 62.9%.
Kigab has played also professionally in Canada (Blackjacks).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team was regular season runner-up in CEBL Eastern Conference in 2023. He was selected to MWC All-Defensive Team in 2022. Kigab played also for University of Oregon for 2 years.
