Trefl Sopot (OBL) added to their roster 31-year old American ex-international guard Nick Johnson (191cm-91kg-1992, college: Arizona). Johnson played last season at Cholet Basket in French Betclic ELITE ProA. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In three Betclic ELITE ProA games he recorded 9.3ppg, 1.7rpg, 3.0apg and 2.3spg. Johnson also played 1 game in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. The other team he played shortly was Hapoel Holon in Israeli Winner League. In two games he had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.5apg, 1.5spg and 1.0bpg. He also played 4 games in Basketball Champions League where he got 5.3ppg, 2.8rpg and 3.3apg.
In 2014 he was drafted by Houston Rockets (NBA) in second round (42nd overall). Johnson graduated from University of Arizona and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. He was a member of USA Senior National Team back in 2018.
Johnson is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. Johnson has played previously professionally in China (Ducks), Germany (Bayern Muenchen), Turkey (Turk Telekom), NBA (Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic), NBA G League (Austin Spurs, RGV Vipers and Wisconsin Herd) and The Basketball Tournament (Money Team). He played in the final of Pac-12 Tournament in 2012 and 2014.
