Noa Essengue stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Demajeo Wiggins with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ulm (6-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Bayern. Loser BG Goettingen still closes the standings with seven games lost. There was no surprise when 15th ranked Hamburg Towers (2-5) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (6-3) 73-68 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Ryan Mikesell (201-1996, college: Dayton) stepped up and scored 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and guard Alex Barcello (188-1998, college: BYU) chipped in 5 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Brae Ivey (187-1997, college: SJSU, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) with 30 points (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and point guard Jaizec Lottie (188-1998, college: Flagler) scored 13 points.
