An interesting game for Serbian Zlatibor (2-2) which hosted in Cajetina their close opponent Slovenian Ilirija (2-2). Zlatibor managed to get a 10-point victory 102-92. The winners were led by Brano Djukanovic who scored that evening 25 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Zlatibor’s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by Anej Orel did not help to save the game for Ilirija. Despite that victory Zlatibor went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Ilirija. Zlatibor will meet at home Sibenka (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ilirija will play against Borac in Banja Luka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 8 Borac beat Sibenka on the road 87-69.

There was a small surprise when Bosnian Borac (3-1) beat their close opponent Croatian Sibenka (1-3) in Sibenik 87-69 on Wednesday. Borac looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Sibenka‘s players. The winners were led by Serbian guard Vuk Boskovic (200-2003) who scored that evening 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Srdjan Gavric (196-1995) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Borac BL players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Malek Green (201-1999, college: YSU) did not help to save the game for Sibenka. Center Josip Jukic (205-1996) added 6 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Sibenka’s coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
