Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Skopje: MZT Skopje (#2) and Feniks 2010 (#7). Feniks 2010 was defeated at home 70-78 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It was a good game for American forward Juan Davis (203-1996, college: Troy) who led his team to a victory with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Brae Ivey contributed with 10 points and 5 steals for the winners. The former international power forward Bojan Trajkovski (207-1988) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds for Feniks 2010. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MZT Skopje will play against Euro Nickel (#3) in Kavadarci in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Feniks 2010 will play at home against Kozuv (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MZT Skopje will again meet at home Euro Nickel (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Other games of round 3 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Rabotnicki was defeated by Angeli in Skopje 72-64. Kozuv beat MZT Skopje II at home 102-96. Akademija FMP lost to Kumanovo on the opponent’s court 84-88. Pelister outscored TFT in a home game 83-64. TFT recorded a loss to Euro Nickel on the road 73-87.

MZT Skopje – Euro Nickel 79-63

An exciting game was played in Skopje. MZT Skopje faced Euro Nickel. Host MZT Skopje (21-4) defeated guests from Kavadarci (16-9) 79-63. MZT Skopje made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Croatian-Bosnian center Robert Rikic (219-1990) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. International swingman Vojdan Stojanovski (194-1987) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. There was a minor upset in Skopje where Rabotnicki (11-14) was defeated by Angeli (4-21) 72-64 on Wednesday. Angeli dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Rabotnicki’s 22. They outrebounded Rabotnicki 36-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American point guard Griffin Ramme (190-1989, college: Chapman) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Serbian center Nemanja Karalic (208-1988) helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Serbian Stefan Balmazovic (201-1989) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-1992, college: Kent St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American Thatch Unruh (196-1994, college: Cent Arkansas, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import center Namdi Okonkwo (213-1994, college: Pacific) helped adding 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Kozuv players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Gabriel Koskoski (203-1998) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Maksim Mitevski (193-2000, agency: BIG) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Kozuv will meet Feniks 2010 (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
