The most interesting game of round 8 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where fourth ranked Crvena zvezda won against host Mega BG (4-4) 81-76. Crvena zvezda made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Mega BG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian point guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-1994, college: Wake Forest) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 steals and center Filip Petrusev (211-2000, college: Gonzaga) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Guard Mihailo Petrovic (190-2003) responded with 17 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Crvena zvezda (6-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending Serbian champion (6-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Dubai. Mega BG lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Crvena zvezda is looking forward to face Borac (#12) in Cacak in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mega BG will play on the road against Cedevita Ol. (#14) in Ljubljana and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.

Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) did not help to save the game for Split. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cibona (2-6) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Krka and Cedevita Ol. Split at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Zadar and Borac. Cibona will play against higher ranked Igokea (#6) in Aleksandrovac in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Split will play at home against Derby (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Igokea recorded a loss to Spartak on the road 75-86. Partizan crushed Dubai on its own court 82-61. FMP BG beat Krka in Beograd 109-106.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists by Tayler Persons of Krka.
Zadar – Cedevita Ol. 81-73
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Croatian Zadar and 13th ranked Slovenian Cedevita Ol. had identical 2-5 record. This time Zadar used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ljubljana 81-73 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Bosnian swingman Amar Gegic (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds.
