It’s still too early stage of the Regular Season in ABA League, but even now we can clearly see the difference between stronger teams and outsiders. The round 6 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Serbian undefeated leader Partizan delivered the sixth consecutive win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked Slovenian Krka (2-4) 96-63 in Beograd. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Krka. Partizan dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Krka‘s 24. They outrebounded Krka 37-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Mario Nakic (199-2001) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Aleksej Pokusevski (213-2001) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Jakob Cebasek (200-1991) who recorded 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Partizan (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Krka at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. They share the position with Borac and Cedevita Ol.. Partizan’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena FMP BG.
Bottom-ranked Montenegrin Mornar (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 85-64 loss to twelfth ranked Serbian Spartak (3-3) in Subotica. Croatian power forward Lovro Buljevic (210-1998) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds for Mornar. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
