Sopot was defeated by GKS in a tough game at home 64-72. The former international point guard Tomasz Snieg (190-1989) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Michal Lis (187-2002) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Igor Wadowski (194-1996) with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tychy moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Sopot dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Sopot will play against Polonia W-wa in Warszawa and is hoping to win this game.

Host Miast Szkla was defeated by Enea Astoria in a tough game in Krosno 86-91. Power forward Szymon Kiwilsza (201-1997) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Martyce Kimbrough supported him with 22 points. Even 21 points by American guard Tre Jackson (185-2001, college: WCU) did not help to save the game for Krosno. Miast Szkla’s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Bydgoszcz moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Krosno at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Bydgoszcz will play against higher ranked Poznan (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Krosno will play against Tychy (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
1Liga top team – Opole (5-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat eighteenth ranked Zak (0-6) 92-79. The best player for the winners was Jakub Kobel who scored 19 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Jahmal McMurray who recorded 17 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Opole have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-1 record. Loser Zak still closes the standings with six games lost. Opole will meet Slask 2 (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Koszalin will play against WKK Wroclaw and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6: Polonia W-wa won against Lancut on the opponent’s court 75-64. Poznan outscored Rzeszow in a home game 98-64. Starogard Gd. managed to beat LKS Lodz on the road 111-108. WKK Wroclaw was crushed by Kolobrzeg on its own court 55-81. Inowroclaw beat Radom in a road game 85-84.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points and 4 assists by Jakub Zalewski of Radom.



Lancut – Polonia W-wa 64-75

There was an upset in Lancut where higher ranked Sokol (4-2) was defeated by ninth ranked Polonia (3-2) 75-64 on Wednesday. Polonia W-wa outrebounded Lancut 50-38 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Adrian Kordalski (187-1995) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian swingman Jayden Coke-Domingue (198-1999, college: Academy of Art) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Polonia’s coach David Torrescusa used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
