The Regular Season in U19 League just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Bahcesehir smashed Merkezefendi in Acibadem 82-53. Bahcesehir dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Merkezefendi‘s 18 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Bahcesehir forced 31 Merkezefendi turnovers and had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cagin Isidan (-2005) fired 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals for the winners. Center Ahmet Aydin (205-2007) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Efe Yavuz (-2006) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Merkezefendi will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Bahcesehir will try to continue on its current victory against Istanbul on the road.

An interesting game where Gelisim Koleji crushed host Istanbul with 33-point difference 101-68 on Saturday evening. Yigit Bayer stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. At the losing side Burak Tatar responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gelisim Koleji will meet Besiktas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Istanbul will play against Bahcesehir and hope to win that game.
Other games of round 1 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Izmir defeated Darussafaka in a road game 80-79. Galatasaray smashed Bursaspor at home 88-67. Manisa won against Buyukcekmece on the opponent’s court 86-82. Tofas outscored MST in a home game 111-51. Winless Yalova lost to undefeated Fenerbahce on the road 64-85.
The best stats of 1st round was 12 points and 14 rebounds by Evren Demirci of Yalova.

Ozel Gelisim Koleji looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Istanbul‘s players. Yigit Bayer (-2006) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Mustafa Yilmaz (-2006) chipped in 20 points and 8 assists. Five Ozel Gelisim Koleji players scored in double figures. Deniz Savut (-2006) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and Arhan Bayramlar (-2007) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Izmir players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ahmet Bicer (-2008) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and Isik Selisik (-2006) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Darussafaka’s coach Husnu Eser tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Izmir will meet Anadolu Efes in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
