LEB Gold Regular Season is still in too early stage and there may be still significant changes in the standings. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Burgos SP defeated Zunder Palencia at home 88-77. Burgos SP made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Palencia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Icelandic guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson (195-1996, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. American guard Joe Cremo (193-1996, college: Villanova) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was American center Cameron Krutwig (206-1998, college: Loyola, IL) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zunder Palencia will play next round against Estudiantes trying to get back on the winning streak. Burgos SP will try to continue on its current victory against Obradoiro in Santiago de Compostela.
Estudiantes (2-1) recorded a loss on the court of Burgos T.. Visitors were edged by Burgos T. 94-91. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jordi Rodriguez (199-2004, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Caio Pacheco accounted for 20 points. Italian-Uruguayan guard Jayson Granger (191-1989) came up with 19 points for Estudiantes in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Burgos T. will play against Valladolid (#14) at home in the next round. Estudiantes will play against Palencia (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in San Sebastian between Gipuzkoa and Menorca. Gipuzkoa (1-2) got a very close home victory over Menorca (2-1). Gipuzkoa managed to escape with a 3-point win 60-57 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Josip Vrankic who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Victor Arteaga who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Gipuzkoa will meet at home Moron (#18) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Menorca will play against Ourense (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: Real Betis won against Alicante on the opponent’s court 64-57. Castello unfortunately lost to Zamora in a home game 72-84. Obradoiro recorded a loss to Cartagena on the road 68-73. Ourense crushed Cantabria on its own court 93-65. Bottom-ranked Oviedo beat Moron in a road game 89-84. Valladolid was destroyed by Fuenlabrada at home 62-96.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 15 points and 7 rebounds by Shemar Wilson of Valladolid.



Alicante – Real Betis 57-64

Very expected game when Alicante (0-3) was defeated at home by Real Betis (3-0) 64-57 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American-Bosnian point guard Alex Renfroe (191-1986, college: Belmont) who scored 12 points and 6 assists. American power forward Brooks De Bisschop (206-1998, college: NAU) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Danish center Kevin Larsen (208-1993, college: GWU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Ugandan-Belgian forward Jean-Marc Mwema (195-1989) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four Alicante players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Betis will meet Cantabria (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Alicante will play against Oviedo and hopes to get finally their first victory.

A very close game took place in San Sebastian between Gipuzkoa and Menorca. Gipuzkoa (1-2) got a very close home victory over Menorca (2-1). Gipuzkoa managed to escape with a 3-point win 60-57 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Canadian-Croatian power forward Josip Vrankic (206-1998, college: Santa Clara, agency: Players Group) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian guard Mateo Diaz (186-2002) chipped in 12 points.
