Astrali – Kavkasia 66-78

Kavkasia upset Astrali in Game 3 of the championship series to gain 2-1 advantage. The game was mostly controlled by Kavkasia. Astrali managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for swingman Markese Mayfield (196-1995, college: Ferris St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Jordan Grant (190-1996, college: W.Connecticut) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Mayfield is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Evan Hinson (196-1997, college: Austin Peay) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Evan Milligan (200-1997, college: Life) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Astrali. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
