Forward Mustafa Gorur (204-1988) helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Troy Franklin (183-1989, college: Coppin St.) with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ormanspor will play next round against strong Cayirova trying to get back on the winning streak. Erokspor will try to continue on its current victory against Gaziantep at home.
Ankaragucu (1-1) recorded a loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Trabzonspor (0-2) 98-92. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Ty Gordon (185-1998, college: Nicholls) who led the winners and scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Ismail Ulusoy accounted for 15 points and 9 assists. Hakan Yapar (202-1984) came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Ankaragucu in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Trabzonspor will play against Konya BBSK (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ankaragucu will play against Haremspor to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Istanbul between Cayirova and Haremspor. Cayirova (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Haremspor (1-2). Cayirova managed to escape with a 3-point win 75-72 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Jamari Traylor who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Cayirova’s coach Engin Gencoglu used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Jordan Johnson who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 assists. Cayirova will meet at home Ormanspor (#8) in the next round. Haremspor will play against Ankaragucu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 3: Sigortam.net won against Balikesir BBS on the opponent’s court 72-65. Final Spor managed to outperform Cagdas BS in a home game 77-71. Winless TED Ankara recorded a loss to Cedi Osman on the road 74-65. Fenerbahce 2 defeated Bordo on its own court 90-75. Winless Anka Spor was beaten by Gaziantep in a road game 81-77. Kapakli Spor lost to Konya BBSK at home 84-89.



Balikesir BBS – Sigortam.net 65-72

Very expected game when Balikesir BBS (1-2) was defeated at home by Sigortam.net (3-0) 72-65 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Chris Lykes (169-1998, college: Arkansas) who scored 20 points and 8 assists. Dorukhan Engindeniz (192-1992) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian power forward Elijah Lufile (201-1997, college: ORU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Bartu Encu (188-2005) added 19 points and 5 steals respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sigortam.net will meet at home Fenerbahce 2 in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Balikesir BBS will play against TED Ankara (#18) and hope to win that game.

There was a surprise result in Bursa where Final Spor (1-2) defeated Bodrum (1-2) 77-71 on Sunday.
