We bring you last week’s top performances from Israelis who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
   #1. This week’s number one is an international power forward Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman, currently plays in France). He was the major contributor in Metropolitans‘ victory against the eighth-ranked JDA Dijon (3-3) 87-74 in the French Betclic ELITE ProA in Friday night’s game.
Ginat scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 27 minutes on the court.
Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans (5-1) is placed first in the Betclic ELITE ProA.
It was his team’s fifth consecutive victory in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Ginat has relatively good stats this year: 10.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 55.6%(20-36), 3FGP: 45.5% in six games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Israeli senior national team.
   #2. Second place goes to an experienced international point guard Yam Madar (190-0, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in EuroCup). Madar led his Serbian team Partizan NiS to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Turk Telekom (2-1) crushing them 85-59 in the Eurocup last Wednesday.
He scored 12 points and added 3 passes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KK Partizan NiS Beograd (3-0) is placed first in the Eurocup.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It’s Madar’s first year with the team.
This season Madar averages: 8.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.3apg, 2FGP: 42.9%, 3FGP: 41.7%.
He is in the roster of the Israeli senior national team.
   #3. The Israeli player who performed third best last week abroad was an international shooting guard Deni Avdija (206-1, currently plays in NBA). Avdija could not help the Washington Wizards (5-3) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Washington Wizards (5-3) lost 100-109 on the road to the Toronto Raptors.
Avdija recorded 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 26 minutes.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
This year Avdija’s overall stats are: 6.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 2FGP: 52.4%, 3FGP: 29.4% and FT: 61.1% in eight games.
He played for the Israeli national team one years ago.

   #4. Small forward Yovel Zoosman (198-98, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an ALBA Berlin‘s victory against the closely-ranked Brose Bamberg 101-89 in the German BBL on Sunday night.
Zoosman scored 6 points and added 3 passes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. ALBA Berlinis placed first in the BBL.
It’s Zoosman’s first season with the team.
His total stats this year are: 5.3ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg.
Zoosman has a dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.
He used to play for the Israeli national team
back in 2019.
   #5. International point guard Tamir Blatt (184-97, currently plays in Germany) is a teammate of previously mentioned Yovel Zoosman and both played together in the last German BBL game.
Blatt contributed to an ALBA Berlin‘s victory against the closely-ranked Brose Bamberg 101-89.
He scored 6 points in 15 minutes.
This year Blatt’s total stats are: 4.3ppg, 1.2rpg and 4.2apg in six games.
He plays currently for the Israeli national team.

   #6. Point guard Naor Sharon (193-95, currently plays in Iceland) led Grindavik to a victory against the closely-ranked Tindastoll (3-1) 86-77 in the Icelandic Dominos League last Thursday.
Sharon recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. U.M.F. Grindavik (4-1) is placed second in the Dominos League.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
This season Sharon has relatively solid stats: 12.2ppg, 3.6rpg and 7.2apg.
He is a former international player as he played for the Israeli senior team five years ago.

   #7. Former University international power forward Anton Kazarnovski (206-85, currently plays in Kosovo) led Bashkimi to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Peja (6-2) 85-83 in the Kosovan Superliga on Thursday night.
Kazarnovski was MVP of the game. He scored 25 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 32 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KB Bashkimi Prizren (2-2) is placed third in the Superliga.
Kazarnovski has reliable stats this year: 12.0ppg, 6.9rpg and 2.2apg in nine games.
He used to play for the Israeli university national team
fourteen years ago.

   #8. Center Gilad Levy (215-2, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Real Canoe NC Madrid in a victory against the 12th-ranked CBA Gran Canaria 2nd team (1-3) 83-72 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday.
Levy recorded only 2 points in 10 minutes.
in group East. Real Canoe NC Madrid (1-3) is placed tenth.
They ended the series of three consecutive loses.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Levy has averaged so far 4.5ppg and 3.3rpg in four games.
He plays currently for the Israeli U20 national team.

The list of other players, who all have Israeli passport but never been selected to any of Israeli national teams:

   #1. Max Heidegger (191-G-97, college: UCSB, currently plays in Basketball Champions League) could not help EWE Baskets (1-2) in their last game. Despite Heidegger’s very good performance EWE Baskets lost 80-92 on the road to the leading Burgos.
He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Heidegger also added 3 assists in 32 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it’s only his second season in pro basketball. There are only three games left until the end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Heidegger has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.7apg in three games he played so far.
Heidegger is a naturalized American.
He used to play for Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv in Israeli league.

   #2. Experienced Adrian Banks (191-SG-86, college: Arkansas St., currently plays in Italy) contributed to a 2-point Trieste‘s victory against the closely-ranked Napoli (1-3) 77-75 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night’s game.
Banks scored 8 points and added 3 passes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Allianz Pallacanestro Triesteis placed in the Serie A.
It’s Banks’ first season with the team.
This year he has relatively solid stats: 15.0ppg, 5.3rpg and 3.5apg.
Banks is a naturalized American.
He used to play for Elitzur Netanya in Israeli league.

   #3. Leo Cizmic (205-F-98, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Cantabria (3-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Cizmic’s good performance the fourth-placed Cantabria (3-1) was edged 66-65 on the opponent’s court by the lower-ranked Gijon (#8) in the West group.
He recorded 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
Cizmic’s stats this season are: 11.3ppg and 3.5rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: Croatian and Israeli.
Despite Cizmic’s Israeli passport, he previously played for the Croatian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Israeli team.
