Luka Petrasic had an amazing evening in the last round for Omis-Cagalj T. and receives a Hoops Agents Prva Liga Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Omis-Cagalj T. in his team’s victory, helping them to beat Dinamo (#1, 23-5) 84-78. Omis-Cagalj T. maintains the 6th position in Croatian Prva Liga. Omis-Cagalj T. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 13th lost game this season out of 28 games. In the team’s last game Petrasic had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Omis-Cagalj T., through which he has constantly improved. Luka Petrasic averages this season 12.1ppg and 6.3rpg.
Second best performed player last round was Donald Morris (180-PG-1993) of Amphora. He is American guard in his first season at Amphora. In the last game Morris recorded impressive 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Amphora cruised to a 93-85 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Jazine (#8, 12-16). Amphora’s 11th position in the standings has not changed. 23 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Amphora managed to get this Second Stage. Morris is a newcomer at Amphora and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.4ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 4.6rpg and 4.4apg. Former star Morris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Filip Vujicic (195-SG-2000) of Dubrovnik (#4). Vujicic got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. Despite Vujicic’s great performance Dubrovnik lost 80-89 to #3 ranked H.Analitica. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Dubrovnik needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 19 victories and 9 lost games. Vujicic has a great season in Croatia. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 15.3ppg (8th best). He also has 1.1bpg, FGP: 64.8% and 3PT: 41.2%.
