Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol (TBL) signed 27-year old international swingman Okben Ulubay (201cm-1997). Ulubay played last season at Turk Telekom (BSL). In 31 games he had 8.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.7apg. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He also played 19 games in Eurocup where he recorded 8.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 1.9apg and 1.2spg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul (BSL). In 29 games he averaged 7.8ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.1apg in that year. Ulubay also played 1 game in FIBA Europe Cup where he got 5 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists and 2 steals in that year.
He has been also a member of Turkish international program for some years. Ulubay has regularly played for Turkish senior team since 2022 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2015.
He represented Turkey at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Ulubaylsinki (Finland) eight years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 5.4ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.0apg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 26.1%, FT: 44.4%.
He has played previously professionally also in Serbia (KK FMP SoccerBet Beograd) and Turkey (Efes, Darussafaka Lassa, Galatasaray, Yesilgiresun and Petkimspor).
Ulubay was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game back in 2017.
