Power forward Arthur Bouba (204-PF-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for Bourg, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 20-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Levallois (#6, 16-10) 74-62. Bourg maintains the 8th position in French ProA U21. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Bourg will need more victories to improve their 14-10 record. In the team’s last game Bouba had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Bourg’s top player in his first season with the team. Arthur Bouba has solid league stats. He is in league’s top in points (3rd best: 19.2ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.4rpg) and averages impressive 2.5spg and 56.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round’s games was young Arthur Minkonda (204-PF-2002) of Roanne. Minkonda had a very good evening with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Roanne to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Paris BA (#17, 3-20) 99-77. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Roanne managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 12th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 10-16 record. Minkonda is well-known at Roanne and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Ambroise Couture (199-PF-2002) of Chalons-Reims (#7). Couture scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was a key player of Chalons-Reims, leading his team to a 79-75 win against the lower-ranked Gravelines (#16, 8-19). Chalons-Reims needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 10 lost games. Couture has a very solid season. In 24 games in France he scored 7.6ppg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
