32-year old American 203cm power forward John Brown III (college: High Point) left defending champion AS Monaco Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA). He played there also last season. In 30 Betclic ELITE ProA games he recorded 5.4ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.0apg. He helped them to win the league title. Great season indeed as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-French Betclic Elite ProA Defensive Player of the Year. Brown played there also last season. He also played 36 games in Euroleague where he averaged 6.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg. Brown contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Brown has played previously professionally in Italy (RO Virtus, Brindisi, Brescia and Treviso) and Russia (UNICS Kazan).
He graduated from High Point University in 2016 and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
