BC Margveti Tbilisi (Superleague) signed 25-year old swingman Vakhtang Gaprindashvili (195cm-1999) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Gaprindashvili has played for the last two years at RASHI Tbilisi. In 21 Superleague games he had 7.5ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.1apg in 2022-23 year.
He represented Georgia at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Division B in Matosinhos (Portugal) five years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 5.6ppg, 2.3rpg, FGP: 31.6%, 3PT: 47.6%, FT: 50.0%.
Gaprindashvili has played previously for two other teams: Rustavi and Delta. He won Georgian League championship title in 2019 and 2021. Gaprindashvili was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Honorable Mention in 2024.
