GS Lavrio Aegean Cargo (GBL) agreed terms with 25-year old American point guard Taz Sherman (184cm-1999, college: WVU, agency: Interperformances) for new 2024-25 season. It is actually his comeback to Lavrio as he has played here before. Sherman played this summer at Best Virginia (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. In two TBT games just recently he had 8.5ppg and 1.5rpg.
Two years ago he was drafted by Long Island Nets (G-League) in first round (19th overall).
He graduated from West Virginia University in 2022 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
Sherman has played also professionally in Finland (Kobrat), Hungary (Honved) and NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets). He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Finnish Korisliiga Honorable Mention in 2024.
His team was regular season runner-up in NTJCAC in 2019. Sherman played also for Collin County College for 2 years.
