Veolia Towers Hamburg (BBL) added 32-year-old ex-international small forward Patrick Heckmann (198cm-100kg-1992, college: Boston) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. Heckmann, who played for Bamberg Baskets for the last three years, recorded 3.9ppg, 3.0rpg, and 2.0apg in 28 BBL games in Germany last season. He played a key role in helping his team reach the German Bundesliga Cup Semifinals.
Heckmann was also a member of the German international program for some years. He played for German Senior National Team between 2012 and 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2012.
Heckmann also represented Germany at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers last year. During this event he scored an average of 1.3 points per game and had rebounds per game.
He has played for ratiopharm Ulm before.
Heckmannckmann’s team reached the Basketball Champions League Semifinals in 2019.
He graduated from Boston in 2015 and it’ll be his 10th season as a pro player.
